A group, known as Arewa Unity and Development Movement (AUDM), has accused Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufa’i of pursuing selfish agenda against the overall interest of the North.

The AUDM alleged that el-Rufa’i is insulting the Northern elders and making abusive statements just because the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, promised him the position of National Security Adviser (NSA).
In an issued statement by the Convener, Isa Hassan Jafaru, yesterday, the AUDM cautioned the Governor not to take personal interests above that of the region and country.
The group also cautioned the el-Rufa’i to refrain from abusing leaders and elders of the region by considering his political future which could be jeopardised.
The group said the Governor had said several negative things against Tinubu in the past, and once vowed that he would never deputise for a drug baron as president.
The group cautioned the el-Rufa’i to desist henceforth from insulting northern leaders and the President just because he nurses an inordinate and selfish ambition against that of the region and the country.
